Extensive experience of development management (control). Principal Planning Officer responsible for day-to-day management of the Borough of Poole’s development control function and deputy to the Head of the Planning Design and Control Unit.

 

Major projects officer for the central area of Poole involved in informal negotiation, development management and control.

 

Major projects included: hotels (conversion and new build), Poole General and private hospital developments, Poole sports stadia (speedway, greyhound, football), Poole Arts Centre enhancement, town centre expansion, Town Quay boat haven and coastal flood protection, Port expansion, Poole Pottery Factory Outlet, harbour bridge proposals, Grade 1 and Ancient Scheduled Monument conversions/alterations, residential estate layout, industrial development, road realignment proposals and retail superstores.

 

Appeared at numerous Public Inquiries as expert witness. Involved in significant planning obligation and Legal Agreement negotiations, presentation to Committees, working parties and public meetings, and public consultation.
